This function converts Unicode strings to UTF-8.

Syntax

lpDestStr,

Parameters

lpSrcStr

[in] Pointer to a null-terminated Unicode string to convert.

cchSrc

[in] Specifies the number of characters in the lpSrcStrstring.

lpDestStr

[out] Pointer to a buffer that receives the converted UTF-8 character string.

cchDest

[in] Specifies the size, in characters, of the lpDestStrbuffer.

Return Value

The return value is the number of characters written to the lpDestStrbuffer.

If the lpDestStrbuffer is too small, a call to the GetLastErrorfunction returns ERROR_INSUFFICIENT_BUFFER.
