Description

Prevents users from manipulating destop toolbars.

When the value of this entry is 1, users cannot add or remove toolbars from the desktop. Also, users cannot drag toolbars onto or off of docked toolbars.

This entry stores the setting of the Disable adding, dragging, dropping and closing the Taskbar's toolbars Group Policy. Group Policy adds this entry to the registry with a value of 1 when you enable the policy. If you disable the policy or set it to Not configured, Group Policy deletes the entry from the registry and the system behaves as though the value is 0.

Value Meaning
0 (or not in registry) The policy is disabled or not configured. Users can manipulate desktop toolbars.
1 The policy is enabled. Users cannot manipulate desktop toolbars.

Change method

To change the value of this entry, use Group Policy. This entry corresponds to the Disable adding, dragging, dropping and closing the Taskbar's toolbars policy (User Configuration\AdministrativeTemplates\Desktop).

Note Image Note

If users have added or removed toolbars, setting the value of this entry to 1 prevents them from restoring the default configuration.
