NetCache

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\

Description

The NetCache subkey contains entries that store Group Policy settings for the Offline Files feature. These entries are created and maintained by Group Policy, and are read and interpreted by the Offline Files program. In Group Policy, these policies appear in the Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Network\Offline Files folder.

This subkey in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE stores entries related to policies that apply to all users of this computer. There is also a Microsoft\Windows\NetCache subkey in HKEY_CURRENT_USER, which stores policy-related entries that are configured separately for each user.

Also, many the policy-related entries in this subkey take precedence over user settings while the policy is in effect. The affected user settings are stored in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\NetCache.
