HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Printers

Data type Range Default value
REG_DWORD (Not in registry) | 0 | 1 0

Description

Enables and disables server-side support for internet printing.

Internet printing lets you display printers on Web pages so the printers can be viewed, managed, and used across the Internet or an intranet.

This entry stores the setting of the Web-based printing Group Policy. Group Policy adds this entry to the registry with a value of 0 when you enable the Web-based printing policy. If you disable the policy, Group Policy sets the value to 1. If you set the policy to Not configured, Group Policy deletes the entry from the registry and the system behaves as though the value is 0.

Value Meaning
(Not in registry) The policy is not configured. Internet printing is supported.
0 The policy is enabled. Internet printing is supported.
1 The policy is disabled. Internet printing is not supported.

Change method

To change the value of this entry, use Group Policy. This entry corresponds to the Web-based printing policy (Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Printers).

Note Image Note

This entry affects the server side of Internet printing only. It does not prevent the print client on the computer from printing across the Internet.
