Network

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\

Description

The Policies\Network subkey contains entries that store Group Policy settings for network services, such as Offline Files and Network and Dial-up Connections. The entries in this subkey are written and maintained by Group Policy and read and interpreted by the network services programs.

Entries appear in this subkey when you configure a policy; that is, when you enable or disable the policy.

Note Image Note

Many of the entries in this subkey have counterparts elsewhere in the registry. These counterparts, known as preferences, have the same effect on user or computer features as entries in the Policies subkey. However, the entries in the Policies subkey always take precedence over the entries located elsewhere in the registry. When an entry appears in the Policies subkey, the preference is ignored.
