HKCU\Software\Policies\

Description

The Policies\Microsoft subkey contains entries that store Group Policy settings for Microsoft products. The entries in this subkey are created and maintained by Group Policy.

The Policies\Microsoft subkey in HKEY_CURRENT_USER stores entries that are configured separately for each user. The system adds these entries when you enable (and, for some policies, when you disable) a policy in the User Configuration folder in Group Policy.

There is also a Policies\Microsoft subkey in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE which stores entries for policies that apply to all users of the computer. The system adds these entries when you enable (and, for some policies, when you disable) a policy in the Computer Configuration folder in Group Policy.

Change method

To add, remove, or change the entries in this subkey, use Group Policy.
