Description

Lets dial-up clients request a connection to a particular Routing and Remote Access server by specifying its IP address.

Value Meaning
0 Clients cannot request a particular server.
1 Clients can request a particular server.

Windows 2000 does not add this entry to the registry. You can add it by editing the registry or by using a program that edits the registry.

In Windows NT 4.0 and earlier, this entry appeared in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Rasman\PPP\IPCP subkey.

The "Client may request an IP address" Routing and Remote Access policy takes precedence over the value of this entry.
