Understanding X Window clients

Windows Services for UNIX includes many X Window client programs that you can start from within Interix. These programs, which include xterm(1), xcalc(1), xlsfonts(1), and xrdb(1), were compiled using X11R5 libraries, but will run with an X11R5 or X11R6 server.

Important

• Windows Services for UNIX does not include an X Window server program. You must first install and start an X Window server program before using any X Window client applications.
