The file WIRES.TXT has the following security descriptor on the Windows NT computer:

• Owner: NtUser1
• Group: NtGroup1
• DACL: NtUser1 Full Control (All)
• Everyone Read (RX)

The UNIX permissions are listed on the client as follows:

The owner changes the permissions mode to 455 on the WIRES.TXT file. (Mode 455 gives read-only privileges to the owner and read-and-execute to the group and others.) Now the security descriptor is as follows:

• Group: NtGroup1
• DACL: NtUser1 Read (R)
• Everyone Read (RX)
