To add a client computer to a group

Using the Windows interface

  1. Open Services for UNIX Administration.
  2. If necessary, connect to the computer you want to manage.
  3. Click Server for NFS.
  4. Click the Client Groups tab.
  5. In the Current Groups list, click the group you want to add the member to.
  6. Click Advanced.
  7. In the box at the bottom of the page, type the name or Internet Protocol (IP) address of the client computer you want to add to the group, and then click Add Client.
  8. To save the settings, click Apply.

Using a command line

Argument Description
remoteMachineName The name of the computer you want to manage.
groupname The name of the group to which you want to add members.
member The name of the member you want to add.
