To remove a simple map

Using the Windows interface

  1. Open Services for UNIX Administration.
  2. If necessary, connect to the computer you want to manage.
  3. Click User Name Mapping,
  4. Do one of the following:
    • To remove (disable) simple maps, click the Maps tab, and then click Simple maps.
    • To remove a specific Network Information Service (NIS) map, click Network Information Service (NIS), click the Maps tab, in the list below Simple maps, click the map you want to remove, and then click Remove.
  5. To save the settings, click Apply.

Using a command line

Argument Description
computername The name of the computer you want to manage.
user The name of the user who has administrative permissions on the computer, if different from the current user.
password The password for the person who has administrative permissions on the computer, if different from the current user.
windowsdomain The Windows domain of the map to be deleted.
nisdomain The nisdomain of the map to be deleted.
-all Deletes all simple maps.
