The Database Setup Wizard guides you through the process of selecting and (if required) creating the databases used by Reporter.
To identify what databases Reporter is currently accessing, right-click the Report Templates subnode and select Properties.
• The user is a member of the Administrators group on the workstation and is added to SQL Server with permissions to create a database.
• The user is a member of any group on the workstation and is added to SQL Server with permissions to create a database.
• The user connects using SQL Server authentication with an account that has permissions to create a database.
Quest Software recommends that you create a new database if you are installing Reporter for the first time.
1. If you restart your computer with SQL Server installed, the Database Setup Wizard does not initially list your computer as a database option. There is a delay before SQL Server is recognized by the Browser Service. Type the name of the computer in the Computer box to avoid a time lapse.
