Introducing Quest Reporter : Reporting Examples : Quest Authentication Services (QAS) Reporting

Quest Authentication Services (QAS) Reporting
Quest Authentication Services (QAS) provides organizations with enterprise-wide access, authentication, and authorization for Unix and Linux systems from the identity management infrastructure already in place for Windows Active Directory. With QAS, Unix and Linux systems natively and seamlessly become full members of Active Directory — joined to the Active Directory domain, functionally extending Active Directory's security, compliance, and authentication capabilities to Unix and Linux.
Quest Reporter provides QAS reporting capabilities using QAS Report templates from the following report categories:
There is also another report category called Templates. You use these templates to collect data that the QAS Report templates require for both stored data reporting and live data reporting.
For stored data reporting, use templates for scheduled collections. The data is collected and stored in the Reporter database, and you can generate QAS reports without querying your live network again and again. This can significantly improve performance, and is the recommended workflow in large enterprises.
