Alert tuning can and should be an evolving process. Systems are not static, servers are added to domains, new applications are deployed, and users are constantly being added or removed with varying levels of permissions. If you really want a solid MOM environment, plan on spending some time every so often tuning rules. No company, including Microsoft, can build a monitoring product that will fit perfectly for every client. It is your responsibility as your organization's MOM administrator to take a proactive approach to optimize your MOM environment, which includes eliminating alert noise.
