Process Manager workflow actions

The following is a comprehensive list of Process Manager workflow actions, along with a brief description of the purpose and/or use of each action. Actions are listed in their default groupings as they appear in Process Designer.

System actions

Assign manual task

Assign a manual task to a workflow participant or group.

Decision

Define one or more conditions, which will determine whether this action generates a True or False response.

Execute JavaScript

Specify a Java script command to be run at this point in the workflow process.

Execute program

Specify an executable program file to be run at this point in the workflow process.

Execute SQL

Specify a SQL command to be run at this point in the workflow process.

Execute VB script

Specify a Visual Basic script to be run at this point in the workflow process.

Get approval

Send an approval request e-mail to one or more approvers.

Modify approvals

Specify a default response in the event an approval request is not responded to within the alloted time.

Modify manual tasks

When a response was not received from the task recipient, mark the task as not completed.

Modify request information

When a response was not received for an information request, mark the request as not completed.

Placeholder

Insert a placeholder for a yet-to-be-determined action. Should be replaced or removed before running the workflow.

Request information

Specify a web form or InfoPath form to be distributed to recipients.

Send e-mail

Send an e-mail message to one or more recipients, using a pre-defined e-mail template.

Timer

Set up a date and time or a period of time to wait before triggering the next action in the workflow.

Update request

Change the state of this workflow instance to cancelled, closed, open, pending, or reopened.

Web service

Define a web service to use in order to communicate with another application.

 

Active Directory actions

Add/remove from group

Add a user to or remove a user from an Active Directory group.

Create/delete group

Create or delete an Active Directory group.

Create/delete user

Create or delete an account for an Active Directory user.

Get/set user information

Get or set new attributes for an Active Directory user account.

Reset password

Set or change a password for an Active Directory user.

LANDesk Security Management actions

Add vulnerabilities to a group

Include specific vulnerability definitions to a security group in preparation for the group to be scanned.

Autofix vulnerabilities

Configure designated devices to have certain vulnerabilities fixed automatically if the vulnerability appears on the device.

Create custom security group

Create a custom security group to be used when scanning one or more designated devices for specific vulnerabilities.

Delete custom security group

Delete the specified LANDesk custom security group.

Get vulnerabilities

Determine whether new vulnerabilities have been identified and published by a particular vendor.

Scan/repair vulnerabilities

Scan the designated device(s) and repair any vulnerabilities found to be present.

 

LANDesk Service Management actions

Add assignment

Designate a LANDesk Service Desk user to perform an assignment.

Add note

Add a note to an existing LANDesk Service Desk incident.

Add task

Specify a task to be done in conjunction with the designated LANDesk Service Desk Incident ID.

Close incident

Close the specified LANDesk Service Desk incident.

Create incident

Create a new LANDesk Service Desk incident.

Get incident info

Look up and capture details about the specified LANDesk Service Desk incident.

Resolve incident

Mark a specified LANDesk Service Desk incident as Resolved.

 

LANDesk System Management actions

Add device to scheduled task

Add a new device to an existing scheduled task.

Add/delete device

Add a device to or delete a device from the inventory database of the LANDesk Management Suite core server.

Deploy agent to unmanaged device

Install an agent configuration package on one or more unmanaged device(s).

Reschedule task

Specify an existing task to be executed by LANDesk Management Suite at this point in the workflow process.

Schedule distribution

Schedule a software distribution task to be executed by LANDesk Management Suite at this point in the workflow process.

Schedule provisioning template

Enable a pre-defined task based on a LANDesk Provisioning template to be executed at this point in the workflow process.

Schedule script

Enable a pre-defined LANDesk Management Suite script to be executed at this point in the workflow process.

Set machine data

Add or change details to the device's inventory data on the LANDesk Management Suite core database.

Set product license

Enable the assignment of additional product licenses for the designated product.

 

Remedy® Action Request System actions

Create request

Create a service request within the Remedy system.

Get request information

Retrieve details from a designated Remedy ticket and populate the corresponding fields in the workflow database.

Update or modify details from an existing Remedy service request.

500 Internal Server Error

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
