Setting up package properties

You can set up package properties as values that are defined in the package, or enable them as administration parameters. When the package is assigned to a managed Pocket PC, the Site Administrator can set the appropriate values for each administration parameter via the Symantec LiveState Delivery Command Center.

The list displays details of all the properties that are currently included in the package. The following information is shown for each property:

Name
The property name. If the property is enabled as an administration parameter, this is the parameter name.
Value
The property value. If the property is enabled as an administration parameter, this is the default value.
Admin?
Yes - the property is enabled as an administration parameter in the package.
No - the property value is defined in the package.
Description
A short description of the package property. This is optional.

Each property in the list represents a registry setting that will be created or modified on the managed Pocket PC device to which the package is deployed.

If you are creating a package from a CAB file, the relevant properties are extracted automatically by the Pocket PC Wizard. You should be careful if you make any changes to these properties, as some may be required for the installation to complete successfully.
