Adding backup selections to an Exchange policy

The backup selections list defines the Exchange objects to back up and the grouping of Exchange objects for multiple data streams. Exchange objects are defined through directives. You can append an individual object name to a directive to specify a storage group, database, mailbox, or public folder. You can use wildcards to specify a group of such objects.

Note:

In a backup policy, include directives from only one directive set. For example, do not add Microsoft Exchange Database Availability Groups:\ (a DAG directive) and Microsoft Information Store:\ (a standalone database directive) to the same policy. Also do not add Microsoft Information Store:\ and Microsoft Exchange Mailboxes:\ or Microsoft Exchange Public Folders:\ to the same policy.
