On this screen, specify the user account for performing the restore. Also specify the purpose for performing the recovery.

DB2 uses the User name and Password values to determine if the user has authority for performing the restore or rollforward. DB2 requires at least one of these privileges: SYSADM, SYSCTRL, or SYSMAINT.

Enter the password a second time in the Confirm password field.

When you create a recovery template for DB2, you can choose to perform the following:

A RESTORE only
A ROLLFORWARD only
A RESTORE and then a ROLLFORWARD.

To include a RESTORE in the recovery template, choose Recover database components from backup images.

To include a ROLLFORWARD in the recovery template, choose Recover database transactions from log files.
