Viewing backup images as a timeline or by details

By default, the NetBackup History pane shows the backup images in a timeline view. You can change the view to see the details of backup images.

The following describes the information that is displayed in each view:

Timeline view

  • Backup images with their respective dates.

  • Images appear from most recent (left) to oldest (right).

Details view

  • Backup images with their respective dates.

  • Images appear from most recent (top) to oldest (bottom).

  • Image expiration date.

  • Number of files in the backup.

  • Size of the backup in kilobytes.

  • Whether the backup is compressed (Y for yes, N for no).

  • Type of schedule(s).

  • Name of the policy that is associated with the backup (as configured by the system administrator).

  • Keyword associated with the backup.

To view backup images as a timeline or by details

  1. To change the default timeline view to a details view, click View > Show NetBackup History as a Timeline to remove the check mark.

    Or, in the NetBackup History pane, right-click and select View > Show NetBackup History as a Timeline to remove the check mark.

  2. To change the details view to a timeline view, click View > Show NetBackup History as a Timeline.

    Or, in the NetBackup History pane, right-click and select View > Show NetBackup History as a Timeline.
