Use alternate path for deduplication database

By default, NetBackup uses the storage path for the database location.

Select this option to use a location other than the default for the deduplication database. The database is separate from the NetBackup catalogs.

For performance optimization, Symantec recommends that you use a separate disk, volume, partition, or spindle for the deduplication database.

Database path

If you selected Use alternate path for deduplication database, enter the path name for the database.

Use specific network interface

Select this option to specify a network interface for the data path.

If you do not specify the network interface, NetBackup uses the operating system host name value.
