AdvancedDisk

Select this option to create a disk pool on the disk storage that is attached to a NetBackup media server. (Attached means a file system mount on the storage.)

OpenStorage (VendorName)

Select the specific OpenStorage vendor. The storage vendor's NetBackup plug-in must be installed and registered on the NetBackup media servers that connect to the storage. Also, the storage server must be installed, configured, and operational.

PureDisk

Select this option to create a disk pool on the disk storage that is attached to a NetBackup deduplication media server. (Attached means a file system mount on the storage.)

SharedDisk

Select this option to create a disk pool on a disk array.

A disk array is also known as an enclosure. Before you create a disk pool, the LUNs on the disk array must be allocated for use by NetBackup.
