Frequency and Retention screen

The options available on this screen depend on the choices you made for Instant Recovery (if any), and whether you chose full or incremental backup. Set the backup frequency and snapshot retention period as follows:

Instant Recovery Snapshot Backups

Frequency

Set the frequency of Instant Recovery backups, in hours, days, or weeks. This setting works in tandem with How many snapshots do you want to retain? on the Instant Recovery screen of this wizard. The more often snapshots are created, the greater the number of snapshots to retain to have the wanted data available for restore. A greater number of retained snapshots require more disk space.

The more changes that occur in the client file system, the more important it may be to make instant recovery snapshots frequently.
