Backup selections wizard screen

Use this screen to select the particular file system, raw partition, volume, or database to back up. This screen determines the policy's Backup Selections list (file list).

In the top pane, click the file system, partition, volume, or database you want to back up. If available, use the scroll bar to view all items in the top pane. Then click Add.

When you click Add, the item appears in the lower pane and is included in the Backup Selections list for the policy. Multiple items can be added to the list.

Additional options are available:

Remove

Removes an item from the Backup Selections list. Select it in the lower pane and click Remove.

New

Specifies an item that is not listed in the top pane. Click New and enter its complete path in the New Asset pop-up.

Change

Changes an item you created. Select it in the lower pane and click Change.

The selected volumes contain a large number of small files and over 50% of the space on the volumes is in use.

Select this option for a FlashBackup policy. It is available only for asset types of raw partition or disk volumes. If the file system contains large numbers of files with most file system blocks allocated, FlashBackup backs up data faster than standard, file-ordered backup methods.
