Changing the number of automatic retries when downloading a file

If you encounter an error when downloading a file, you can set the number of times that the Download Manager will automatically try again to download the file. If the Download Manager has retried the specified number of times and is still unable to download the file, “Error” will be displayed in the Status column.

To change the number of automatic retries:

1.      Click the Settings icon on the Download Manager toolbar to open the Settings dialog box.

2.      On the General tab, under Automatic retries, type or select the number of automatic retries you want to use in the Maximum number of retries box.

3.      In the Retry interval (seconds) box, type or select the number of seconds between retries.

4.      Click OK to save your changes and close the Settings dialog box.
