Replication Jobs

You can replicate several types of data from one server to another. To replicate data you create a Replication Job that is carried out on the servers.

There are two types of Replication Jobs:

Type of Replication Job

Description

How the Job is Created

Cascading Job

Replicates data from a server to all child servers in the Replication Tree.

By dragging the data you want to replicate to the child servers from the parent server to itself.

The parent server acts as the source and target server, and triggers a cascading job down the Replication Tree to the child servers.

Peer-to-Peer Job

Replicates data to only one server.

By dragging the data you want to replicate from one server to another. The servers do not need to have a parent/child relationship. The data can replicated to any server regardless of the relationship within the Replication Tree.
