You can replicate several types of data from one server to another. To replicate data you create a Replication Job that is carried out on the servers.
There are two types of Replication Jobs:
Type of Replication Job |
Description |
How the Job is Created |
Cascading Job
|
Replicates data from a server to all child servers in the Replication Tree. |
By dragging the data you want to replicate to the child servers from the parent server to itself. The parent server acts as the source and target server, and triggers a cascading job down the Replication Tree to the child servers. |
Peer-to-Peer Job
|
Replicates data to only one server. |
By dragging the data you want to replicate from one server to another. The servers do not need to have a parent/child relationship. The data can replicated to any server regardless of the relationship within the Replication Tree. |
