Preparing Computers

Before you manually add computers to the Symantec LiveState Delivery system, you need to take into consideration the network environment and gather information about the computers.

You must:

1. Determine the computer type

2. Gather the required computer information and network information

3. Make sure the computer has ample disk space

4. Flash the BIOS with the latest update

5. Turn off any virus checking in the BIOS

6. Turn off memory shadowing in the BIOS

7. Enable Wake on LAN on compatible systems

8. Set the boot order to removable device first and network second

After you have prepared the computer, you can continue with the integration into the Configuration Server.
