A mobile computer is a managed computer that is intermittently connected to a Configuration Server. A mobile computer can be connected to the Configuration Server using any IP-based connection including a LAN or modem/ISDN (RAS) connection. When connected over a modem/ISDN connection, the mobile computer can download specially designed software packages that can be installed offline.
A mobile computer can be either a Consistent Mode computer or a Cooperative Mode computer. When you add a computer to the Configuration Database, you can set its Agent for Windows package parameter to define it as a mobile computer.
