What's new in Enterprise Vault

Note:

This feature was introduced in Enterprise Vault 8.0 Service Pack 3.

If your administrator has enabled it, Outlook now displays your vault in the Navigation Pane. This feature of Enterprise Vault is called Virtual Vault. A Virtual Vault appears like a mailbox folder or personal folder in the Outlook Navigation Pane. Figure: Example of a Virtual Vault shows a mailbox and a Virtual Vault.

The contents of the selected vault are shown in the Outlook Navigation Pane. You can open items in your vault and perform the normal Outlook actions on items, such as forward, reply, move, and delete. Depending on how your administrator has set up Enterprise Vault, you may also be able to move items into your vault for archiving.
