If you are setting up an Enterprise Vault environment to demonstrate or pilot OWA 2000 or 2003 access to Enterprise Vault archives, the Enterprise Vault server and Exchange Server can be installed on one computer. Installing Exchange Server 2007 on the Enterprise Vault server is supported but not recommended.
