Running the FSA Reporting database purging job manually

From Enterprise Vault 8.0 SP3 onwards, FSA Reporting includes an FSA Reporting database purging job. The purging job moves data from the database's main tables to the history tables.

You can run the FSA Reporting database purging job manually if for some reason the job does not run automatically for some time.

To run the FSA Reporting database purging job manually

  1. For the SQL Server that hosts the EnterpriseVaultFSAReporting database, make sure that the status of the SQL Server Agent service is Started.

  2. For SQL Server 2005 or 2008, start SQL Server Management Studio. For SQL Server 2000, start SQL Enterprise Manager.

  3. Expand the SQL Server Agent node.

  4. Expand the Jobs node.

  5. Right-click EV FSAReporting Purging Job and from the shortcut menu select the option Start Job or Start Job At.

A Start Jobs window opens, and shows the status of the job as the job progresses.
