Changing the schedule for the FSA Reporting database purging job

From Enterprise Vault 8.0 SP3 onwards, FSA Reporting includes an FSA Reporting database purging job. The purging job moves data from the database's main tables to the history tables.

By default the FSA Reporting database purging job runs daily at midnight. You can change the schedule for the purging job if required.

To change the schedule for the FSA Reporting database purging job

  1. For the SQL Server that hosts the EnterpriseVaultFSAReporting database, make sure that the status of the SQL Server Agent service is Started.

  2. For SQL Server 2005 or 2008, start SQL Server Management Studio. For SQL Server 2000, start SQL Enterprise Manager.

  3. Expand the SQL Server Agent node.

  4. Expand the Jobs node.

  5. Right click EV FSAReporting Purging Job and from the shortcut menu select Properties.

  6. Go to the Schedules page.

  7. Select EV FSAReporting Purging Job Schedule in the Schedule list and click Edit.

  8. Change the purging job schedule as required.
