Enterprise Vault server components can be installed on the following operating systems:

• Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 2 or later.

• Windows Server 2008 with Service Pack 1 or later.

  If Windows Server 2008 with Service Pack 1 is installed, you must also install the following mandatory hotfix for IIS:

  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/949516

  Note that the hotfix that Microsoft provides for Windows Vista is the hotfix to use for Windows Server 2008.

Install Windows with the following options and components:

• NTFS file system.

• Microsoft Message Queuing (MSMQ) services.

• Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0 or later.

• .NET Framework 2.0.

• Internet Explorer 6.0 or later.

• MSXML.
