The list shows settings that you can use to tune various settings. These settings are applied by any task that uses the policy you are editing. You can create another policy if you require more than one version of these settings. For example, if you have more than one Exchange Journaling Task on the same computer you can create a different Journaling Policy for each.

• List settings from. Controls the type of setting that is shown in the list. Select the type of setting you want; depending on the policy type, some settings may not be available.

  • Archiving General. Settings that control archiving behavior.

• Reset All. This returns all the settings in the list to their default values. There is a confirmation prompt that asks if you are sure you want to reset all the values.

• Modify. Displays the Modify dialog, which enables you to change the value for the selected setting. You can also display the Modify dialog by double-clicking the value.

  On the Modify dialog:

  • Enter or select a new value, or click Reset to return the setting to its default value.

  • Then click OK to return to the Advanced tab. Alternatively, click Cancel to cancel any changes you made to the setting.
