Exchange Desktop Policy: Advanced

The list shows the settings that you can use to tune client behavior. You can create another desktop policy if you require more than one version of these settings.

If you change any settings, the changes do not take effect until you synchronize the mailbox details manually, or until the next run of the appropriate Exchange Mailbox Task.

List settings from. Controls the type of setting that is shown in the list. Select the type of setting you want.
- Outlook. Settings that control the behavior of Outlook and Entourage clients.

- OWA. Settings that control the behavior of OWA 2003 clients.

- Vault Cache. Settings that control Vault Cache for Outlook behavior.

- Virtual Vault. Settings that control Virtual Vault behavior.

Reset All. Returns all the settings in the list to their default values. Confirm that you want to proceed when you see the confirmation prompt.
Modify. Displays the Modify Setting dialog, which enables you to change the value for the selected setting. You can also display the Modify Setting dialog by double-clicking the value.

On the Modify Setting dialog:
- Enter or select a new value, or click Reset to return the setting to its default value.
- Then click OK to return to the Advanced tab. Alternatively, click Cancel to cancel any changes you made to the setting.
