. This controls the maximum number of simultaneous connections that the task is allowed to make to the Microsoft Exchange Server computer.
By increasing the number of connections, you may improve performance, although the default of five is likely to be the optimum value. However, each connection takes up one Microsoft Exchange Server Client license, so you may have to adjust the number of concurrent connections appropriately.
Remember that the Exchange Journaling and Exchange Public Folder tasks also take up Microsoft Exchange Server Client licenses. If you are short of licenses, you may have to balance the number of licenses between the tasks.
If you change this setting you must stop and restart the task to make the change take effect.
. The maximum number of items that are archived on a single run through its targets.
An Exchange Mailbox Task archives a maximum of this many items from each mailbox and then repeats the process, starting with the first mailbox. This means that the Exchange Mailbox Task is more likely to archive evenly, taking some items from each mailbox. If you set this value higher, you may find that items are archived from some mailboxes and not from others. The other mailboxes are processed eventually, but perhaps not on the same run of the Exchange Mailbox Task.
. The mailbox that is used by the task when logging on to Exchange Server. Click if you want to select a different mailbox.
. Synchronization runs a maximum of twice each day and always runs until completion.:
