Vault Store Properties: Partition Rollover

This page lists all the ready partitions in the vault store, in the order in which Enterprise Vault will use them for partition rollover. Within certain constraints, you can change the order in which Enterprise Vault rolls over into the ready partitions.

The columns on this page are:

Name. Shows the name of the ready partition.
Device type. Shows the device type on which the ready partition is hosted.

Rollover. Shows whether onward rollover from the target partition is enabled.

Note:

When Enterprise Vault rolls over into a partition that is not enabled for rollover, no further automatic rollover can occur in this vault store. To rectify this situation, enable partition rollover for this new partition, or open another partition that is configured for partition rollover.

To change the order in which Enterprise Vault rolls over into the listed partitions, select a partition and click Move Up or Move Down.

You can place the partitions that are configured for volume-based rollover in any order. However, you cannot break the rollover order for the partitions that are configured for time-based rollover. For example, you cannot move a partition that is configured to roll over on 10 October before one that is configured to roll over on 3 October.
