Exchange Mailbox Policy: Shortcut Content

You can use the Shortcut Content settings to control the size and functionality of Enterprise Vault shortcuts to suit your own requirements. The more details you store in a shortcut, the larger the shortcut becomes. However, by setting suitable expiry criteria for shortcuts, you have some control of the total space taken up by all shortcuts.

You may have set shortcuts to Show contents so that when, double-clicked, the archived item is immediately opened. However, when you do this the shortcut content is still available when searching using Outlook Find and it can be displayed by adding a suitable column in an Outlook view.
