Cloning makes an exact copy of a configuration, with a different name.
To create a new configuration, clone an existing one.
To clone a configuration, you must have rights to Manage a Configuration. Any configuration can be cloned, including the ConfigTemplate delivered with Enterprise Manager.
To clone a Configuration:
Right-click a configuration name and choose Open to Manage.
Right-click the configuration name again, and choose Clone This Configuration.
A copy of the configuration is created and the Properties dialog appears. The configuration name is the same name but with a number added at the end.
If desired, type a new Name and Description for the configuration.
Click OK to close the dialog box.
The original configuration (the one you cloned) is still open for management. Right-click its name and select Close [Manage].
Note: The clone (that is, the new configuration you created) is not automatically open to manage. You must right-click it and choose Open to Manage.
