Exporting and importing event listeners

You can export and import event listeners, so they can be used on any Asset Lifecycle Manager server. The event listeners are stored as .XML files. They contain all of the critical data required to use the event listener, although some parameters, such as database passwords, may need to be reentered after import.

To export an event listener

1. From the Process tab's Event listeners panel, right-click the listener you want to export and click Export.
2. Specify the filename and location where you want to save the exported event listener, then click Save.
3. Click OK.

The event listener is exported to the location you specified; the file format is XML.

To import an event listener

1. From the Process tab's Event listeners panel, right-click the folder where you want to import a listener and click Import.
2. Type the filename or browse to and select the listener you want to import.
3. Click Open.

The event listener can now be selected from the list.
