Note dialog

Use the Note dialog box to add a description to an existing Service Desk ticket as part of the Add note action under Service Management actions.

To insert a mapped field as part of a note, right-click in the text box or click Insert field mapping, select the mapped field, and click Insert.

Using fields to insert variables is recommended, so you always have a unique value and avoid duplicate records, which can cause errors.

  1. Click the Process tab, and click the Workflows panel.
  2. Click the Add note action (under LANDesk Service Management).
  3. In the Advanced tab, click the Description box, and click the ellipsis.
  4. Type the note or insert a field mapping, and click OK.
