Disable automatic deployment of self-management policies

By default, the HPOM automatically deploys self-management policies that monitor the availability and performance of the agents and servers that synchronization discovers. It also removes the policies if the agents and servers become unavailable. Although it is not recommended, you can disable either or both of these features.

Caution CAUTION:
The self-management auto-deployment and auto-removal functions minimize the administrative effort required to monitor the management server and agents deployed on both the server and managed nodes. Before disabling either, or both, of these features make sure you understand how to administer the self-management manually.

Enabling/disabling automatic deployment

Set the management server registry entry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SOFTWARE / Hewlett-Packard / OVEnterprise / Plug-Ins / Self Management / AutoDeploy Policies to "true" to enable auto-deployment, or to "false" to disable auto-deployment.

Enabling/disabling automatic removal

Set the management server registry entry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SOFTWARE / Hewlett-Packard / OVEnterprise / Plug-Ins / Self Management / AutoRemove Policies to "true" to enable auto-removal, or to "false" to disable auto-removal.

Note NOTE:
This procedure applies to the self-management only. The procedure will not work for policies supplied by Smart Plug-ins (SPIs).
