This simulation
is designed to help you understand message suppression concepts. In
this simulation, you can choose to suppress messages either with
the counter-based or the time-based method. You will see the
portion of the interface that is used to set options for these two
methods, and will be able to set some of these options. For the
purposes of the simulation, the identical messages are assumed to
occur at regular intervals—you can set this interval as well.
After you choose the suppression method and enter some values,
the simulation will evaluate your choices and then show which
messages would be sent to the management server and which would be
suppressed. You can click any message for detailed information
about why it was sent or suppressed.
