Configure Disks: <computer name> Dialog Box

Consistent Mode computers: partitions and formats the computer's hard disks

Cooperative Mode computers: provides format and partitioning information about the computer.

Following is a description of each of the features in this dialog box.

Title Bar

Displays the selected computer's name in the title.

Disk Menu

The Disk menu provides the following commands.

Command

Description

Partition Disk

 

Opens the Partitioning Properties of <Disk #> where you can set the partitioning size and type for the selected disk. You must select the Disk # button in the Configure Hardware for Computer dialog box to enable this command for the selected disk. You can create up to four partitions on a disk.

Add Disk

Adds a new disk for partitioning at the bottom of the display of disks. You can add up to four disks.

Delete Disk

Deletes the last disk displayed in the bottom row of the dialog box. You cannot remove a specific selected disk.

Add Format Job

Opens the Add Format Job dialog box where you can specify and add a formatting job for a disk that is not CCM partitioned.

Delete Format Job

Opens the Delete Format Job dialog box where you can specify a formatting job to be removed from the CCM database, typically for an externally-partitioned disk.

 

Disk Summary Button

When you first add a managed computer to CCM, this button displays the disk number starting at Zero and a Not Partitioned label.

NOTE: If you have selected the Fdisk option in the Computer Properties dialog box, the disk summary button indicates that this is an Fdisk computer with no CCM partitioning.

Right-click this button to access the Partition Disk command. After you define a partitioning job the button reports the following information.

Disk #and Partitioning Type

The Disk number starting at 0 (Zero).

The type of disk partitioning, either CCM partitioning or Fdisk partitioning.

Status

The current status during job execution:

Assigned - Job in queue to be executed

Active - Job being executed

Done - Job successfully completed

Error - Job failed

Partition

  • The assigned partition letter

  • The assigned size in MB or percent

  • The assigned file system type, FAT16 or FAT32

NOTE: For emergency situations you can Shift-Right-click the Partition button to change the Status to Done or To Be Done.

 

Partitions/Formats Button

After you have defined a partitioning job, a button appears for each of the assigned partitions. These buttons report the following information.

The type of action being performed on a partition (System formatting or Data formatting, and the assigned partition letter.

Step

The current phase being performed on a partition:

Assigned - Job in queue to be executed

System formatting - C partition being formatted

Formatting - Non-system partition being formatted

Done - Job successfully completed

Error - Phase has failed

Status

The current status during job execution:

(blank) - Job in queue to be executed

Active - Job being executed

Done - Job successfully completed

Error - Job failed

Capacity

The partition's total capacity

Free

The partition's unallocated disk space

NOTE: For emergency situations you can Shift-Right-click the Partition button to change the Status to Done or To Be Done.

Buttons

OK

Accepts the changes you have made and deploys the new hardware jobs.

Cancel

Closes the dialog box, ignoring the settings you have made.

OK (Coop)

Provides format and partitioning information to CCM about the selected computer. The computer is not reformatted or repartitioned.

Help

Opens the Help window describing this dialog box.

500 Internal Server Error

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator at webmaster@systemmanager.forsenergy.ru to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
