Repartitioning Computer Disks

In some situations you may want to repartition disks on Consistent Mode computers. You can repartition disks using CCM or using external tools, such as Partition Magic.

NOTE: The intent of working with multiple computers is to achieve identical results across a large number of computers and to avoid the necessity of entering identical information many times. To take advantage of this functionality you should select computers that have the same number of disks and partitions. In this way, you can achieve identical results across all of the computers and reduce the possibility of undesirable consequences.

To repartition disks for computers:

  1. In the Scope pane, click <All Computers> to display the computers in the Result pane.

  2. Select and right-click the computers you want to repartition

  3. Click Configure Disk.

The Configure Disks: Multiple Computers dialog box, opens and displays the current disk configuration for each computer.

  3. The Partition Properties of Disk # dialog box opens, displaying the formatting information for the disk's partitions.

  1. Click Change to change the partition values.

  2. In the Partition Values dialog box, select the desired Size Specification,  partition size, and FAT16 or FAT32 setting.

  3. Click OK to confirm the values and close the Partition Values dialog box.
