Modifying Package Parameters of a Profile

You can modify parameters for a specific package or for all of the packages in a profile.

The package parameters you define within a package profile override the default parameters specified in the package’s configuration file. The parameters of a package can, in turn, be overwritten by parameter settings you define when you assign the profile to a specific computer.

To edit package parameters of a profile:

  1. Expand Profiles in the Scope pane.

  2. Expand Package Profiles to display the existing package profiles.

  3. Right-click the Profile and select Edit Job Parameters to edit all the parameters in the profile.

To edit the parameters for a specific package in the profile, expand Package Profiles, right-click the specific package, and select Edit Job Parameters.

  1. The Set Parameters dialog box displays the packages tabs. Since not all packages have parameters, only packages with parameters appear in the dialog box.

  2. Select each package tab and edit the desired parameter value. Double-click the cell in the Value column to display a drop down list of allowable values.

  3. Click OK.
