After you have added computers and defined the formatting and partitioning settings, you must either:
Install the operating system and the CCM network software for Consistent Mode computers, or
Inform CCM of the software installed on Cooperative Mode computers and install the CCM Windows Agent.
When you are installing an operating system on computers you must also install specific CCM files that give the computers CCM functionality. The CCM files required are specific to the operating system being installed.
Before you begin adding computers to the CCM server you need to populate the CCM Package Depot with packages provided on the system CD-ROM.
If you install the operating system and the necessary CCM network software before partitioning and formatting the computers, it triggers the hardware jobs for the computers by the CCM Pre-OS Agent.
