About restoring data with the Remote Media Agent

You create a restore job for the Remote Media Agent from the Backup Exec media server.

The Remote Media Agent supports only Microsoft Tape Format (MTF) media. Therefore, you must use the devices that are attached to the Backup Exec media server to restore data from the tapes that other applications created.

See Restoring data by setting job properties.

You can select specific options for the job by selecting the agent type from the Properties pane.
