Exporting a list of remote computers for the Remote Agent for Windows Systems Bulk Upgrade and Update Utility

When you build a list of computers in the Remote Agent for Windows Systems Bulk Upgrade and Update Utility, you can save it for later. You can export the list as an XML file. The XML file contains each computer's name and domain. When you are ready to repeat the process later, you can import the XML file so that you do not have to rebuild the list. If you have a large number of computers, you can build multiple lists to run upgrades and updates in batches at the most convenient times.

To export a list of remote computers for the Remote Agent for Windows Systems Bulk Upgrade and Update Utility

  1. From the Backup Exec for Windows Servers installation directory, double-click RAWSBulkUpdate.exe.

    The default installation location is C:\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec

  2. Add remote computers to the list.

  3. Click Export.

  4. Browse to the location in which you want to save the XML file.

  5. Click Save.
