ADS_OCTET_STRING

The ADS_OCTET_STRING structure is an ADSI representation of the Octet String attribute syntax used in Active Directory and Novell NetWare Directory Services (NDS).

Members

dwLength
The size, in bytes, of the character array.
lpValue
Pointer to an array of single byte characters not interpreted by the underlying directory.

Remarks

Memory for the byte array must be allocated separately.

Client: Included in Windows XP and Windows 2000 Professional.
Server: Included in Windows Server 2003 and Windows 2000 Server.
Redistributable: Requires Active Directory Client Extension on Windows NT 4.0 SP6a and Windows 95/98/Me.
