Specifying the Product Identification Number

You must specify the Product Identification (PID) when you install, or build and install, your configuration for customers. A valid PID is included with each license that you purchase.

To specify the PID

  1. In the Install or Build and Install dialog box, click Product Identification.
  2. In the Product Identification dialog box, do one of the following:
    • To use an evaluation version of Windows NT Embedded 4.0, select the Test build check box.
    • To specify a PID, clear the check box and perform the following steps:
      1. Click New.
      2. In the New Product ID dialog box, type a unique PID for your target system.
        Note   Test builds are valid for 60 days.
